Theory in Practice(Swe)

Theory In Practice was formed in July '95. After a year of rehearsals
and gigs, they recorded a demo in the Abyss Studio. The demo, called
"Submissive", got splendid reviews and the group got offers from
various record companies. Theory In Practice signed a contract with
Pulverised Records and began to work on a full length CD.
After the album was released, Johan left the band because he wanted to study music.




tasteful atmospheric keyboards, crazy solos, and riffs that actually have melody and structure to them. And *still* heavier than all those so-called "brutal" bands that are just out to make as much downtuned noise as possible. "The Armageddon Theories" feels a little short, and some of the ideas could probably stand to have been expanded a bit more (like the far-too-short acoustic/piano interlude in "The Visionnaire"), but I'm still loving every minute of what's here.

The band was formed in 1988 under the name Suppurated Fetus and changed their name to GoatPenis in 1991.

From 1997 to 1999, the band had split-up.

Disgrace left the band for personal reasons in 2005.

Goatpenis left Death to Mankind (Die Todesrune) Productions for being "lazy and unprofessional".

Mr Death(Swe)

Early rehersals, with Juck (ex. Treblinka/Tiamat), Alex (ex. Oceanlift) and Jonas (ex. Void/Massive), during early 2007 formed Mr. Death. However, it was not until the end of summer 2007 when Jocke (ex. Digression Assassins) joined the band and Mr.Death started for real. We recruited Stefan (ex. Treblinka/Tiamat/Expulsion) in the beginning of 2008 and since then the band is complete.




In March 2008, Mr. Death entered the unholy grounds of Sunlight Studio to record the debut demo "Unearthing", together with Tomas Skogsberg.
In December 2008 Mr. Death entered Sunlight Studio again and finally the 31 of Oct 2009 the debute album "Detached From Life" will be released on Agonia Records.

Few friends had several speed/thrash metal bands and after getting into Death Metal and Grindcore, they decided to start a new band. Guitarist, Tomi (Koivusaari) left Violent Solution to do so and other guitarist, Kalle (Mattsson) along with Jukka (Kolehmainen) on Vocals and Bassist Jussi (Ahlroth) had a band called Disaster, while Drummer Kimmo (Heikkinen) had just bought drums.

The band was formed in early 1989 after playing some time under several different names. After recording one demo tape we got an offer to do a 7" EP, did a bunch of gigs around Finland, a short visit to Norway (one gig and a party/sleepover at Black Metal band Mayhem's house) with our second drummer Mika 'Arkki' Arnkil (who was on 'leave' from Antidote), the band broke up in 1990, shortly after this Relapse Records contacted us for a recording deal. Timing, eh? (That offer helped Amorphis in getting signed to Relapse a bit later.)

The 7" EP was released by this rip-off label Seraphic Decay Records which was managed by this fuckface of a man, Steve O'Bannon. Without a written contract of anykind we never received any of the agreed income, be it records for sale or money. Same thing happened to Xysma, Derketa and Incatation, who are only the ones we heard of, so it wasn't just us.

Sotajumala - Death Metal Finland

Sotajumala is a Finnish death metal band founded in 1998 that plays aggressive death metal. Drawing influence from both old and new generations of death metal the band has created a sound of their own. The lyrics are in their native language and the band name translates to Wargod. Over the years the band has gained loyal following through hard work, solid releases and several fierce live shows.

Debut full-length Death Metal Finland received great response from press and fans alike in 2004, marking the beginning of a new era in Finnish death metal. As a result of meticulous writing process the band unleashed their sophomore album Teloitus in 2007. With its eight crushing songs Teloitus displays Sotajumala’s progress as songwriters, as musicians and as a band - something both press and fans noticed. From start to finish Teloitus destroys everything on its path, not once letting go. This energy is also present at live shows where the band has further demonstrated their abilities to annihilate the masses.
